Teenage boy dies after falling from building while playing mobile games

Hyderabad: A teenage boy, who was critically injured after falling from the first floor of a construction site while playing games on his mobile phone in Banjara Hills, died while undergoing treatment at hospital on Friday.

The victim Mohd Tabrez (19), a Class 10 student from New Hafeezpet and a native of Bihar, had on Thursday accompanied his cousin Junaid Alam, an aluminum fabricator, to work at the construction site on Road No.4. Banjara Hills.

According to the police, while Junaid Alam was busy working, Tabrez was sitting and playing games on his mobile phone on the staircase, which had no side walls. It is suspected that while playing, he accidentally slipped and fell from the first floor.

He suffered grievous bleeding injuries and was immediately shifted to the hospital, where he died under treatment.

Based on a complaint, the Banjara Hills police booked a case and are investigating.
