If you are a fan of the smash Shonen Jump comic-turned-anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba — and it seems we all are — chances are you aren’t going to be getting a lot of sleep this weekend, so at least it’s a long one!

Sony Music Solutions hosts a special two-day live reading dubbing of the Japanese TV anime with cast members.

At 2:00 AM ET this Saturday, cast members from the show’s Japanese voice talent pool will read from the Entertainment District arc. Tickets are available and will set you back $41.20 at the time of writing. If this time slot is too early for you to get up on a Saturday, then a ticket purchase will get you a link to the VOD for the event at 10:30 on Saturday night.

Similarly, on Sunday at the same time, the cast will return for reading and dubbing of the Mugen Train arc, which is a personal favourite for me!

There’s no need to feel like you need to be a total otaku because both shows will feature English subtitles.

There will be tons of little Easter eggs [perfect time of year for them!] and behind-the-scenes info in both shows to celebrate the comic and show’s heavenly rise to popularity since April of 2019. Lord knows it’s been a wild ride since then, and it’s still tough to celebrate things in person, but this is one you’ll likely want to take in this weekend with your anime entourage!
