Elden Ring Legendary Armaments | Where to Find – Guide Fall

[ad_1]

For a difficult game like Elden Ring, your best bet at survival is getting your hands on a Legendary Armament. That is, of course, provided that you have high enough stats to actually be able to wield them. In this handy guide we’ll show you where to find all nine weapons and finally unlock the Legendary Armaments achievement.

Where to Find All Legendary Armaments in Elden Ring

Elden Ring - Where to Find All Legendary Armaments

Ruins Greatsword

On the southeastern tip of Caelid lies Redmane Castle. To reach it, you’ll need to have come through here once before during Ranni’s quest and have beaten Starscourge Radahn. After doing so, speak to the old man sitting in the church several times until he no longer says anything new. Then, fast travel to the nearest Site of Grace and return back to Redmane Castle. On your return you’ll see a new yellow mist wall. Go through it to fight the double bosses, the Misbegotten Warrior and the Crucible Knight. Once beaten, they will drop the Ruins Greatsword.

And what a sword it is! You need 50 Strength and 16 Intelligence to wield it properly, but it’s completely worth it. This sword starts with 124 Physical and 37 Magic Damage Ratings, and it scales up hard with Strength. You can also upgrade it up to ten times using Somber Smithing Stones. This weapon at a +10 rating is one of the most powerful weapons in the game for a Strength build.

Eclipse Shotel

The Eclipse Shotel is one of the easier Legendary Armaments to find. Simply go to Castle Sol in the northern part of the Mountaintops of the Giants. You can get here by traveling north across the bridge by Stargazer’s Ruins. It can be picked up from the altar at the Church of the Eclipse. This large sickle doesn’t scale very well, but it starts with decent Physical and Holy Damage ratings. It also has the Death Flare unique weapon skill. This can build up Instant Death when hitting enemies, but has been proven to be more handy for dispatching invaders in PvP than anything else.

Devourer’s Scepter

This is one of the earliest Legendary Armaments you can find. A short ways north of Stormgate is the Warmaster’s Shack. There you’ll encounter a merchant named Bernthal. Now, bear in mind there is an entire later-game questline associated with this individual, but if you’re looking to get his excellent gear early, you can simply kill him immediately. Bear in mind, this will remove his questline from the game later. In his state as a merchant knight, he is not at all a difficult fight. After beating him, not only does he drop the Devourer’s Scepter, but he also drops his Bell Bearing and his entire Beast Champion Armor set.

The Devourer’s Scepter is a massive warhammer that scales well with Strength, Dexterity, and Faith. It can be upgraded with Somber Smithing Stones, but the best draw of this weapon has to be its Devourer of Worlds skill. This skill allows you to steal HP from all surrounding enemies, which is handy in a pinch where there’s plenty to steal from.

One last thing to note: This weapon can be missed in certain playthrough scenarios, so be sure to take your opportunity when you can.

Grafted Blade Greatsword

Travel through Castle Morne to the beach just south of it. Here you will fight an optional boss, Lionine Misbegotten. This boss is a relentless and very aggressive attacker, so be sure to have a shield and plenty of Stamina. After beating him, he will drop the Grafted Blade Greatsword.

The sheer Physical damage rating on this sword is unreal. This one is a pure Strength-build weapon through and through. Starting with 157 Physical Damage, it can be upgraded to +10 with Somber Smithing Stones to an astonishing 384 Physical Damage rating. Top it off with its skill, Oath of Vengeance, which raises all attributes by +5 for 30 seconds, and this is truly a weapon to be feared.

Sword of Night and Flame

Elden Ring - Caria Manor path to Sword of Night and Flame

Starting from the Caria Manor Lower Level Site of Grace, go outside and turn left. Follow the path southeast and look to your left for a crumbling structure. Go past onto the next bridge and look for a spot to jump down onto the roof underneath you. Jump down one more level to spot a ladder that will lead to the ground floor. In the room full of books and glintstones you’ll find a treasure chest containing the Sword of Night and Flame. If you’re having trouble finding it, check out this guide for more specific directions.

Now bear in mind, this weapon doesn’t scale well with any stat, but it does have a varied moveset that will interest more strategic players, as well as doing Physical, Magic and Fire Damage. It cannot be boosted with magic or consumables, and as of Patch 1.03 its Comet Azur and Flame skills have been nerfed significantly. Unless you really like this particular weapon, this one may be more for collecting than anything.

Marais Executioner’s Sword

This Legendary Armament is dropped by killing Elemer of the Briar. He can be fought in Altus Plateau, in the Shaded Castle located northwest of Writheblood Ruins. He is one of the game’s harder bosses, and is best fought by keeping close to him to dodge his easier-to-telegraph attacks. If you keep too much distance from him, he can control his sword from a distance and will perform attacks that are faster and harder to dodge.

After you dispatch him, he drops the Marais Executioner’s Sword. This blade scales best with Strength and Arcane, as it deals both Physical and Magic Damage. It cannot be boosted with Magic or Consumables, but it can be upgraded with Somber Smithing Stones. The Eochaid’s Dancing Blade skill is also quite interesting, as it allows you to sort of “force throw” the sword as a ranged attack.

Bolt of Grasnax

You can find the Bolt of Grasnax at the Leyndell Royal Capital after defeating Godfrey. From here, just go west outside, travel down by elevator, then walk up to the spear and claim it. It is important to note that you must collect this weapon before beating Maliketh. If you wait for the Royal Capital to be reduced to its Ashen state, this weapon will be lost to you for the rest of that playthrough.

This is an excellent spear that scales with Strength and Dexterity, and deals out both Physical and Lightning Damage. It cannot be buffed but can be upgraded with Somber Smithing Stones. It also has the Ancient Lightning Spear skill, which is a more powerful version of the Lightning Spear incantation.

Golden Order Greatsword

The Golden Order Greatsword is dropped by the Misbegotten Crusader boss in the Cave of the Forlorn in west Mountaintops of the Giants. In order to reach this area, you’ll need to have found both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion. Just as well, you will also need to be in possession of a Stonesword Key. As with other Misbegotten bosses, this one is very aggressive and best fought with a shield and high Stamina.

The Golden Order Greatsword is your reward for victory against the boss. This is a good weapon for Faith builds, as it does decent Physical damage, but doles out high Holy damage. Like all the other Legendary Armaments, this one can also be upgraded with Somber Smithing Stones. Its Establish Order skill sends out a large explosion and can be sustained with repeated button presses that will send out additional waves of light.

Dark Moon Greatsword

This one probably requires the longest investment of any of the Legendary Armaments. Getting the Dark Moon Greatsword requires you to nearly complete Ranni’s questline. After giving Ranni the Dark Moon Ring, you will find this weapon underneath the Cathedral of Manus Celes.

This weapon scales well with Intelligence, and deals out both Physical and Magic damage. On top of its damage ratings, it inflicts Frost on enemies as well. Its unique skill, Moonlight Greatsword, will increase your magic and frost attack ratings. Using its heavy attack in this state will also cause it to shoot out waves of damaging moonlight energy.
